What do you expect to see in a Taekwondo One Step? Some stiff-as-a-board technique? A long range or jumping kick?

In this Taekwondo One Step (further described at TakeONEdo Steps), I try to discuss issues and concepts pertinent to self defence. How should we block an oncoming strike? How can we be more proactive and stop the strike as it starts? How do we cover better? How can our arms work together?

A one step sparring exercise is only as good as your experience and imagination. If you use it to reproduce a picture perfect block, it might as well be relegated to a photo session for that magazine spread. The Taekwondo One Step should allow you to practice real skills with good speed.
